i see a lot of potential in the usefulness of this blog, i think that we, as in the students of kwang hwa primary 6M class of 2001 can use this blog for a few things as follows..
1) Obviously to keep in touch with each other, some may not have email or anything so this blog would be useful to know the whereabouts of certain people we may be interested in.
2) As a place where we can share details about ourselves as our roads may differ in the future, where we are, what jobs we may be doing , who we've married etc (haha)
3) As a place where we may reminisce on memories of the past, of course we should not live in the past where all our thoughts focus only on what was and not what is or what is gonna be, but then again, having a past will enrich our future in a way.
4) I'm sure that we can use this place as a sort of a notice board for any future activities concerning our class. We may wanna have a class party in 2020 to celebrate our country's "development" or something so I'm sure we can post details of the said class party so that fellow classmates may know where and when to go.
5) This blog should also be a platform for us to share stories of our experiences in other countries. As i know that plenty of us are going overseas, so i plead, whilst you're going about your life there, please save some of it for us to know about. I hope all of us, especially the guys will take this not in a tongue in cheek way. We can talk about some nice places we've been to, good places to eat, what our dog did the other day etc
6) Okay i have to admit that i have seen the photos that alex and bs uploaded, although i may not be really enthusiastic by some of them but i think that it is good that we can do that. Everyone should have a right to post things on the blog. I'm sure Alex and co. are seeing to that. I hope that all of us will be able to share a piece of our daily life with our fellow classmates. Be it through pictures or words.
7) Lastly i think this blog should be something shared by all of us, i feel that everyone of us should try to contribute and not let only a few people keep this blog. We have been classmates before, we have an interconnecting link between us, we have something in common hence the title of this blog " a common watering hole" Although some of us may have our differences with each other but we shouldn't let this be a hindrance, remember, think of the class first, please let us not be just another primary school class. Let us not be enthusiastic about coming together a few times and then disappearing after a few years. I want us to be different. Do you?
I have had my say in this blog, hopefully this won't be my last post. If there's anything anyone of you may think i've missed, please don't hesitate to post another entry and write it in. The most important thing i feel is that we shouldn't use this place to spread propaganda or hate against other classmates. And i hope that every single pupil of the 2001 6M class of Kwang Hwa primary will have this blog's address firmly etched in their bookmarks folder. I hope also that all of us will try to contribute something.
cheers!
